So hi.
I've been away from dA for a very long time. And it seems as though my photography has strayed away as well. I blame my photography teacher. But if I ranted on about her it would take days. Basically, she's retarded. And she makes me not want to be a photographer.
However, I'm excited about a project we have. It's for Black History Month and we have to draw inspiration from African American artists. I've decided to do a mixed media. I'm going to mimic Study of Two Hands by Henry Tanner by using my best friend and her wonderful hand modeling. The photograph will be 8x10 and centered on large canvas. Before I even take or mount the photograph I'm going to be using a large assortment of paper mache pieces and pasting them to the canvas in a pattern that reflects African American quilt making.
Aside from the fact that I can't use digital for this project and my black and whites keep coming out with fucking scratches all over them, I'm pretty excited.
I'll probably end up taking a photograph of the finished piece and maybe the steps I take. Be excited for me!
